bogtex is a new book browsing concept for the teenager’s book section, designed in collaboration with Vejle Library. bogtex provides a supermarket-like experience for books, incorporating elements from a grocery store into a library setting. By involving the local teenagers and librarians, though several workshops and interviews the concept was developed to enhance teenagers engagement and interest in literature, by presenting books in more approachable ways as well as in more digestible amounts.

As a representation and example of the overall concept, a center display incorporating grocery store inspired elements was designed and prototyped, to get an idea of the experience of bogtex. The center display serves as a medium to showcase different book themes and encourage teen-to-teen interactions though for example book recommendation and more.
